The peacock at its centre, India's national bird and a symbol of grace, takes nearly three days to complete. Each feather is painted by hand. No two plates are identical.

The Craft
Blue pottery is not clay pottery. It is made from a unique quartz paste — a technique that travelled to Jaipur from Persia centuries ago and found its permanent home here. The distinctive white base, the cobalt rim, the jewel-like colours — all are hallmarks of genuine Jaipur blue pottery that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.
