Light a candle. Watch Jaipur glow.
There is something about candlelight filtered through a hand-painted ceramic that no mass-produced holder can replicate. These square tealight holders — deep cobalt blue, white floral motifs, a yellow flower on every face — are made in Jaipur using a craft that has travelled centuries to reach your table.
Each holder is shaped, glazed and painted entirely by hand. Place them together in a cluster of four and they form a single, cohesive piece of art. Separate them across a mantle, a dining table, or a windowsill — they hold their own individually too.
Light one for a quiet evening. Light all four for a celebration. Either way, the room changes.
The craft
Made using Jaipur's traditional blue pottery technique — quartz paste formed by hand, fired in a kiln, and painted with mineral pigments. The cobalt blue that saturates these holders is the same shade that has defined this craft for four centuries. No two pieces are painted in exactly the same way. The slight variations you will notice are not imperfections — they are proof of the hand that made them.
