Care

The Craft
Jaipur blue pottery is known for its cobalt, but its real range is wider — the turquoise, marigold yellow, and warm orange on this diya all come from mineral pigments, mixed and painted freehand by artisans working a craft passed down through generations. The base is quartz paste rather than clay, fired at low heat to hold its glassy shine. Each lotus is painted petal by petal, by hand, which is why no two diyas are ever perfectly identical.
